Errante Broker Credibility and Regulation

Errante logo

When you search for the broker Errante, you come across two regulatory licenses: Seychelles and Cyprus. But the main question is: which company will our account actually be opened with? In this article, we review Errante's track record and the regulatory documents of each entity, and then look at what these differences mean for Iranian traders.

History and Track Record of Errante Broker

According to official sources, Errante broker's activity dates back to at least 2019. The introductions published on the Errante website give 2019 as the year it was founded. The broker initially focused on forex and CFD trading on MetaTrader and later expanded its range of services; for example, it announced the launch of cTrader in January 2023. Errante's presence in Iran can be traced through the domain   errante.net ; this includes Persian content from 2024 and 2025, but the exact date it began accepting Iran-based traders cannot be determined from this content.

This distinction regarding its history of working with Iranian traders matters in practice when evaluating the broker today. The errante.net website describes the company providing its services as an entity registered in Seychelles, and at the same time lists Iran among the countries whose citizens or residents may have restricted access to its services. The same website also presents a Cyprus-licensed company as another entity under the Errante brand. As a result, Errante's history of a Persian-language presence does not by itself answer which company an Iranian trader's account is now opened with or what restrictions will apply to it; the answer should be sought in the company name shown during registration and in the agreement for that account.

Review of Errante Broker's Regulation

Errante's website lists an FSA Seychelles license for Errante Securities (Seychelles) Ltd and a CySEC Cyprus license for Notely Trading Limited. Below, we review each license, its registration number and its status.

CySEC Cyprus Regulation

One of the key points when assessing a forex broker's credibility is its level of regulation. For operating in the European Union, Errante is licensed by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission, known as CySEC. This regulation, under the company name Notely Trading Ltd, applies to the domain errante.eu .

CySEC regulation has the advantage of requiring the broker to segregate client funds from its operating accounts, meaning the money you deposit is held in separate accounts with relatively high security.

Looking more closely at what this regulation means, CySEC not only grants an operating license but also obliges the company to submit regular financial reports, undergo independent audits and comply with anti-money laundering standards (AML/KYC). These aspects make Errante under CySEC an option worth considering for more serious traders seeking greater security.

FSA Seychelles Regulation

Alongside its European regulation, Errante also holds another license from the Seychelles Financial Services Authority (FSA – Seychelles Financial Services Authority). This type of regulation is usually used for operating in international markets outside the European Union and allows companies to offer higher leverage with fewer requirements.

Compared with CySEC, FSA regulation has a lower «supervisory grade» and cannot provide the same level of legal protection for European traders, but for clients from other countries, such as many Iranian traders who face international restrictions, it may be an attractive choice. The important point is that, for some professionals, such a dual structure may carry more regulatory risk than brokers with Tier 1 regulation (such as the UK's FCA), since rules and enforcement controls are not applied at a high level.

If you register with Errante as a trader in the European Union, your account will be under the stricter supervision of CySEC; but if you register from outside this region, such as Iran, your contract will usually fall under FSA Seychelles regulation, which offers less protection.

Errante Broker Awards

One aspect of Errante's credibility and how well known it is among its competitors is its presence at international financial industry festivals and competitions. According to the broker's official reports, the company has so far received several awards in various areas, which shows the market's attention to its services and modern technologies.

These awards have usually been given in areas such as customer support, quality of trading platforms, innovation in trading tools and educational services for traders. Many competitors and market analysts regard such awards as an indicator of brokers' efforts to excel in the market.

Keep in mind, however, that winning awards does not necessarily guarantee full service quality in practice; it should be combined with other professional indicators such as regulation, track record, real user experience and independent reviews to allow a more accurate assessment. In this regard, examples of awards received by Errante show that the broker has managed to make a name for itself in some areas, such as trader education or tool innovation, but this should not replace specialized, independent reviews.

Does Errante Broker Insure Deposits?

Errante has an insurance program, and its coverage is a financial institutions civil liability policy; in other words, it only covers losses caused by negligence or errors in providing services and does not compensate ordinary trading losses. The insurance certificate states a limit of one million euros per claim and in the aggregate, including costs; however, this figure does not mean a guaranteed repayment of one million euros to each client.

But does this insurance also cover Iranians? The insurance certificate lists Errante Trading LLC as the insured company, and its territorial scope is worldwide, except for the United States and Canada. It can therefore be concluded that Iran is not excluded under this clause. Even so, given Iran's particular circumstances, it cannot be said with certainty that, should a situation arise that calls for the insurance, we would be able to use it.

Another common mistake is confusing this insurance with the Cyprus Investor Compensation Fund. According to the official document, the Cyprus fund applies to eligible clients of the Cypriot company Notely Trading Limited, with a limit of 20 thousand euros; registering an account under the Errante brand does not in itself prove that you are a client of the Cypriot company, and since Errante does not serve Iran under its Cypriot regulation, Iranians cannot use the Cyprus fund.
