Comprehensive review of FBS broker services and features

FBS logo

In FBS's list of services, a demo account sits alongside MetaTrader 4 and 5, a proprietary app, an economic calendar and trading calculators. Account conditions, trading costs and deposit and withdrawal methods also determine the rules that come with using these features.

For readers residing in Iran, one point comes before all these details: FBS Markets Inc has stated on its official website that it does not provide financial services to residents of Iran. In this collection, we review the services and features of the FBS broker with this in mind: what each part is used for, what its conditions are and how the access restriction affects its use.

History of FBS broker

FBS is one of those names that has been well known in the forex market for years. The broker started operating in 2009 and gradually grew from a simple trading platform into a complete ecosystem for traders. Alongside access to the global market, the platform also places particular focus on education, practical tools and simple account management.

FBS's growth has picked up remarkable speed in recent years. In 2022, practical educational content was added directly to the user dashboard so traders could access key resources without leaving the panel. A year later, market variety was expanded, with more than 30 currency pairs and 350 stock symbols added to give market participants a more complete trading portfolio.

In 2024, coinciding with the brand's 15th anniversary, the platform underwent major changes, from a new, modern visual identity to technical upgrades to the dedicated FBS app for a smoother trading experience. Of course, all these figures and developments reflect the broker's past milestones, and its range of tradable assets is still expanding.

Can Iranian traders use FBS services and features?

No. FBS's financial and trading services are not officially available to Iranian users. A review of the broker's official rules and documentation clearly shows the extent of this restriction:

  • Prohibition in the official rules: In the disclaimer section of its main website, the company explicitly states that it does not provide services to residents of Iran. In addition, clause 1.14 of the Customer Agreement rules out providing any services to «citizens or residents» of sanctioned countries, and Iran is specifically listed in sub-clause 1.14.14. This means that even living abroad does not necessarily solve the identity verification problem for Iranian citizens.
  • Visiting the website vs. being able to trade: Being able to open the FBS website, access its educational articles, download platforms such as MetaTrader, or even see the registration form does not mean you will be accepted. The identity verification (KYC) system rejects Iranian applicants at the stage of uploading identity documents or proof of address.

Therefore, traders inside Iran who want to trade in the financial markets have to turn to brokers that officially accept Iranian identity documents and serve this market.

FBS broker's status in Iran

When it comes to evaluating a forex broker , the most reliable yardstick is the company's own legal documents and official policies, not the advertising that gets passed around here and there. In its agreement and the disclaimer section of its website, FBS explicitly lists Iran among the restricted regions; a simple, blunt fact showing that the features and services presented on this broker's global website are effectively unavailable to traders residing in Iran.

FBS's official setup shows no sign of the usual channels for operating in the Iranian market, such as Rial deposit and withdrawal gateways, Persian-language support or a regional office, and attributing such services to this broker has no basis whatsoever. On the same grounds, claims by unrelated websites and intermediaries about being able to open an account or ways to bypass identity verification do not replace the company's official agreement, and investing on the strength of such promises, from a risk management perspective, can lead to nothing but the possibility of a blocked account and trapped funds.

The risk of using an FBS broker account with a false identity or false information

At first glance, filling out the initial registration form may seem simple, but the sensitivity of the matter becomes clear precisely at the identity verification (KYC) stage, where the FBS broker's help center stresses that all registered information must match the user's identity documents and proof of address exactly. Accordingly, actions such as changing location with IP-changing tools, selecting a false country in the form or using someone else's identity not only fail to smooth the path to access, but lead to identity rejection and account blocking as soon as official documents are requested.

This legal strictness also directly affects financial transfers. According to the broker's official deposit and withdrawal guide, the name of the bank account, credit card or digital wallet holder must exactly match the name registered on the trading account; this means FBS does not accept deposits from third-party sources under any circumstances and immediately returns the funds to their source.

In addition, clause 11.1.7 of the customer agreement makes providing accurate, complete and truthful information a legal requirement; therefore, even if misleading information temporarily gets you past the registration barrier, such tricks can never overcome this broker's fundamental restrictions on accepting clients under sanctions.

FBS broker's standard services

When we talk about the «fixed services» of the FBS broker, we mean the core set of features designed for everyday trading. The MetaTrader platforms, the dedicated account management app, demo accounts, educational articles and courses, along with analytical tools such as the economic calendar and forex calculators, all fall into this category. Keep in mind, however, that the label «fixed services» does not mean a permanent guarantee or identical access conditions for all traders in every region; it simply refers to the stable structure of the platform.

Seeing these tools side by side may look like a list of the usual software, but their real value becomes clear once we understand the role each one plays in the trading chain.

FBS broker trading platforms and tools

For trading software, FBS has gone with the best-known tools on the market, MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5. Traders can download versions of these two platforms for Windows, Mac, Android and iOS depending on their setup, or, if they prefer not to install anything, use the web version (WebTrader) directly. For MetaTrader 4 traders who need to manage several trading accounts at once in a single window, the handy MultiTerminal tool is also available, so different portfolios can be controlled without constantly switching between accounts.

Alongside the MetaTrader family, the broker also offers its own dedicated mobile app; software that goes beyond a simple panel for checking balances or tracking deposits and withdrawals. In this environment, traders can analyze charts live, place buy and sell orders and monitor their open positions in real time.

Ultimately, the difference between these environments comes down to each user's style and needs; someone managing diverse investment portfolios will turn to MultiTerminal, while for fast day trading, monitoring the market on the go and centralized management of deposits and withdrawals, the dedicated mobile app is a more suitable and convenient option.

Order management, charting and market analysis tools

The analytical features and position management tools across FBS trading environments are not the same, and each platform gives the trader different capabilities. The classic MetaTrader 4 is known for its 9 standard timeframes, One-Click Trading and live market news feed, while MetaTrader 5 offers a more flexible environment with 21 timeframes, 38 built-in technical indicators and full support for the Hedging strategy for opening simultaneous positions.

On the other hand, to meet the visual needs of today's traders, the FBS dedicated app has built its charting core on the popular TradingView platform, giving access to more than 90 useful indicators. On the app's order screen, key parameters such as trade volume, take profit and stop loss can be easily set, and alongside them real-time figures such as Equity, margin, free margin and floating profit and loss are displayed; vital data that show the trader exactly how fluctuations in open positions have affected the overall health of the account and its usable balance.

FBS educational academy and forex learning resources

The FBS broker's educational academy divides its learning content into two main levels: basic concepts for newcomers and advanced topics for those who want to learn more professional strategies and tools; a simple categorization that lets every trader find training suited to their level of experience without confusion.

This training also includes a series of short educational videos on the forex market, working with the MetaTrader platforms and risk management. The articles section covers practical topics such as technical and fundamental analysis, market entry principles and trading psychology. Finally, direct access to a demo account is provided alongside these lessons so that theoretical learning can immediately turn into practice without risk in the real market.

Economic calendar and market analysis tools

The FBS economic calendar is a simple, practical showcase for tracking key market reports. Its table lists the exact release time of the news, its level of impact, the related asset and three important columns: «previous», «forecast» and «actual»; the trader can set the time zone to match local time and click on any indicator to see a historical chart of its changes. The role of this calendar is not just to catch sudden price swings; it is a risk management tool that helps traders know when it is better to stay away from a high-risk market, although, according to the broker itself, figures may appear in the table with a slight delay at the moment of release.

Alongside this fundamental tool, there is a section called Top trades of the hour that anonymously displays the most profitable positions of the past hour. Reviewing these hourly stats only gives a view of other traders' past successes and should not be confused with copy trading platforms or definitive entry and exit signals.

Trading calculators and risk management tools

The FBS broker provides traders with three practical calculation tools that give a clear picture of the costs and potential risk of a position before entering the market:

  • Trader's Calculator: By entering the symbol, trade volume, leverage and account base currency, it calculates the required margin, exact contract size, value per point, spread cost and overnight swap rate, so the capital needed for each order is known in advance.
  • P&L Calculator: This tool lets you simulate different entry and exit scenarios; just enter the symbol, buy or sell direction, volume and projected prices to get a realistic estimate of the final outcome, taking into account how long the position stays open.
  • Currency Converter: It provides a quick, transparent rate for converting amounts between different currencies based on live market prices.

The important point is that the output of these calculators is based on real-time market variables and is meant for planning and risk assessment; therefore, the figures obtained cannot be considered a definitive guarantee of the final result of real trades under highly volatile market conditions.

What are FBS broker's rewards and incentive programs?

Reviewing FBS's incentive schemes and bonuses requires a lot of care; simply seeing a promotion's page or having access to its rules PDF on the website does not necessarily mean it is active for all users. When evaluating promotions, you should always consider the expiry date, the eligibility conditions and the target audience.

One of the documents available at this broker covers the «Deposit Bonus» scheme, whose initial start date is stated as July 2025. According to this legal document, the first qualifying deposit is eligible for a 100% bonus, and subsequent deposits receive a credit bonus of between 10% and 60%, depending on the deposit amount. The maximum credit paid per deposit is set at $10,000, and the cap on total bonuses received by one account is $25,000.

This bonus is in fact trading credit to increase margin, and the bonus amount itself can never be withdrawn as cash; however, profits from trades opened with it can be withdrawn. That said, two important points of caution stand out in this document: first, the existence of an official file does not mean the scheme is publicly active at the moment; and second, the clauses on how a withdrawal request affects the bonus are ambiguous—one section talks about a proportional deduction of the bonus, while another names a drop in equity as the reason for its removal. Therefore, before making any deposit with the aim of receiving the bonus, it is absolutely essential to ask the broker's support in writing about the status of the scheme.

Birthday Quest contest: an occasional campaign that has ended

The Birthday Quest campaign was one of FBS's occasion-based promotional programs, launched in 2025 to mark the broker's 16th anniversary. In this contest, traders earned points by completing specific missions and, depending on the points collected, received rewards such as cashback, digital products or physical prizes.

However, according to its official document, this campaign ran only from 3 March to 30 March, and it is now completely closed.

Incentive schemes for introducing partners: separate from trader rewards

Alongside user contests, FBS has launched specific limited-time campaigns for business partners or introducing brokers (IBs). For example, an October 2025 announcement introduced three targeted incentive schemes exclusively for partners in Africa, Latin America and Thailand, with the registration and activity period ending at the end of that same October.

Customer support and available languages at FBS

FBS broker's support is presented as available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and traders can contact this broker via live chat on the website and app, direct email (support@fbs.com) or by submitting a callback request (Callback). That said, the broker's claim of fast responses should not be taken as a guarantee that every technical or financial request will be handled immediately.

FBS broker support

A key point in assessing customer service is distinguishing between the «language of the help section articles» and the «language of live support from agents». FBS's official knowledge base documentation supports languages such as English, Arabic, Spanish, Turkish, Thai, Malay and Indonesian, but Persian has no place on this list.

Does FBS support automated trading and expert advisors?

Yes, but with specific technical terms and conditions. FBS supports trading Expert Advisors (EAs) and automated strategies on the MetaTrader 4 and 5 platforms; this means the infrastructure for automatically executing trades based on programmed code is in place, although this technical compatibility in no way means the broker itself provides proprietary profitable robots or guarantees the performance of any algorithmic tool.

However, under clauses 7.21 to 7.26 of the Customer Agreement, important restrictions and warnings apply in this regard:

  • Full responsibility lies with the user: All consequences, errors and risks arising from an EA's performance fall on the trader, and the broker accepts no liability for its results.
  • Request limit (server traffic): To keep the servers stable, if an EA sends more than 30 requests per minute (Request per Minute), the broker has the right to stop the robot from operating or even block the trading account and access to the client area. Note that this limit applies to the number of «requests sent to the server», not just the number of positions opened or closed.

On the other hand, for traders who want their EAs to stay active 24 hours a day without depending on their home computer being on or a constant internet connection, FBS also offers a virtual private server (VPS) service. However, getting this server comes with specific conditions and it is not entirely free or available to everyone; using it requires a single deposit of at least 450 dollars or euros and maintaining a monthly trading volume of at least 3 standard lots. So this service should not be considered an unconditional advantage without taking its financial and volume commitments into account.

Is FBS right for you?

With a track record dating back to 2009, MetaTrader platforms, a proprietary app and support for trading tools and EAs, FBS is a well-known platform internationally; however, assessing a broker's performance goes beyond the variety of its software tools. For Iranian traders, the definitive barrier of not accepting Iranian nationals and residents in its legal documents, the lack of Rial payment gateways and the risk of funds being frozen at the verification stage effectively rule this broker out as a reliable option. In addition, carefully reading the bonus conditions, the server traffic limits for robots and the costs of getting a VPS shows that joining any broker requires, above all, a careful review of the Customer Agreement clauses and how well they fit your risk management strategy.
