FXGT is a multi-licensed broker that has been operating since 2019 and is known for its very high leverage, wide range of accounts and proprietary platform. In this overview, we review its licenses, accounts, payments and status for Iranian users based on Teagle's data.
What kind of broker is FXGT?
FXGT has about 7 years of history and brings together several legal entities with different licenses within its group structure. In terms of infrastructure, Teagle's expert does not consider this broker weak: a variety of accounts, competitive spreads, modern platforms and an app that has won international awards. Copy trading, expert advisors, VPS, education, an economic calendar and an IB program are also among its services, and scalping, hedging and news trading are allowed.
FXGT licenses and credibility
According to Teagle's latest review, FXGT holds five active licenses:
- FSA Seychelles (No. SD019) – active;
- FSCA South Africa (No. FSP 48896) – active;
- VFSC Vanuatu (No. 700601) – active;
- CySEC Cyprus (No. 382/20) – active;
- Financial Services Commission (No. GB24203727) – active.
However, holding a CySEC license does not mean European protection for all clients. According to Teagle's expert, retail clients in practice sign their contract with GT Global Ltd in Seychelles under the offshore FSA license, and displaying the CySEC and VFSC logos in this context can be misleading. So the real level of oversight for retail users is offshore and weak. We have explained the difference between these two types of oversight in the article Offshore vs. Onshore Brokers and the ranking of regulators in the Broker Regulation Guide .
Does FXGT serve Iranians?
The short answer is no. According to Teagle's data, Iran is on FXGT's list of restricted jurisdictions; the broker has no Persian website or support, no Rial deposit or withdrawal method is mentioned in its official documents, and using it requires changing your IP. Teagle's expert warns that Iranian users have to bypass geographic restrictions to open an account, and in the event of a dispute or account freeze they may effectively lose their right to pursue the matter and their contractual protections.
FXGT trading accounts
The accounts table recorded on Teagle shows four accounts, all with floating spreads, an Islamic (swap-free) version and no-requote execution:
- OPTIMUS account: no minimum deposit, no commission, spreads from 0.8 pips, leverage up to 1:5000, 50% margin call and 0% stop-out; MetaTrader 5 only.
- ECN ZERO account: $100 minimum deposit, spreads from 0 pips, $3 commission per side, leverage up to 1:1000 and 40% stop-out.
- Standard account: no minimum deposit or commission, spreads from 1.3 pips, leverage up to 1:1000 and 40% stop-out.
- Pro account: $100 minimum deposit, no commission, spreads from 0.5 pips and 20% stop-out.
The advantages section mentions five live accounts and dedicated copy trading accounts, but details of the fifth account are not in Teagle's data. If you are not familiar with commission-based accounts, read the article What Is an ECN Account . Leverage of 1:5000 is also extremely risky; before using it, see the guide Leverage and Leveraged Trading .
FXGT trading platforms
FXGT offers MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 for Windows, Android and iOS, and also has its own proprietary platform, FXGT Trader. The OPTIMUS account is only available on MetaTrader 5. For algorithmic traders, free VPS and expert advisor support are considered strengths of this broker; we have explained the use of VPS in the article VPS in Forex .
Deposits and withdrawals at FXGT
Recorded payment methods include credit cards, bank wire, e-wallets such as Skrill and Neteller, and local transfers. The broker itself has not published a table of fees or minimum amounts and refers everything to the client portal and the user's region. Teagle's profile page lists a minimum deposit of $1, while the accounts table shows a zero minimum deposit for two accounts. No Rial method has been announced for Iranian users.
FXGT rating and risk on Teagle
FXGT's final rating on Teagle is 2.33 out of 5, based on four sources: Trustpilot 4.3, Teagle's expert 3, Forex Peace Army 1 and WikiFX 1; no reviews from Teagle users have been submitted yet. The Teagle Eye risk index for this broker is 32 out of 100, in the "low to medium risk" category. However, the low credibility scores and the offshore nature of the retail client contract are reason enough for caution.
FXGT pros and cons
- Pro: a range of accounts, from no-minimum-deposit accounts to an ECN account with raw spreads
- Pro: $1 million liability insurance, segregated funds, negative balance protection and PCI DSS certification according to Teagle's data
- Pro: free VPS and expert advisor support
- Con: Iran is on the list of restricted countries and an IP change is required
- Con: no Rial deposits and withdrawals and no Persian support
- Con: the retail client contract is under the offshore FSA license
- Con: no clear table of fees and minimum payment amounts
Who is FXGT suitable for?
In the view of Teagle's expert, FXGT suits international traders living in countries not on its restricted list, scalpers and day traders who need raw spreads, and expert advisor users. On the other hand, it is not a suitable option for residents of Iran, those for whom tier-1 regulatory protection is essential, and passive investors looking for PAMM or social trading. To see alternatives, put FXGT side by side with a high-leverage broker in the FXGT vs. Exness comparison .
Conclusion
FXGT is acceptable in terms of technical brokerage services, but for Iranian users the main obstacles are the geographic restriction and the lack of Rial payments, and the real oversight of retail accounts is offshore. If you still intend to use it despite these risks, start with a small amount, make a test withdrawal before depositing more, read the client agreement and follow new warnings on Teagle's risk warning page .
