Trendo Broker Credibility and Regulation Review
At first glance, many traders focus on things like spreads, commissions or the trading platform when choosing a broker; but the reality is that none of these features matter much until you are sure the broker is credible and safe. A broker that holds client funds must be assessable in terms of legal oversight, operational transparency and the mechanisms that protect users' assets; a topic that, unfortunately, is either greatly exaggerated or completely ignored in many reviews.
Below, we examine the credibility of Trendo broker from several different angles: from its regulation status and legal registration to its operating history, the level of transparency of its information, infrastructure security, how client funds are held, and user feedback. The goal is to rely on verifiable data to present a realistic picture of how safe and credible this well-known broker is, so you can make a more informed decision about working with it.
Trendo broker's track record
According to official information published by the company itself, Trendo began operating in 2019 under the domain trendofx.com, later moved to fxtrendo.com, and finally, from Tir 1405 (July 2026), to the unified domain trendo.com. The broker registered a company in Armenia in 2022 and expanded its legal structure with entities in Mauritius, Saint Lucia and the United Kingdom. It is worth noting that some analytical sources cite 2021 as the founding year, or even Saint Lucia as the main place of registration, which shows that the group's multinational and relatively complex structure makes full transparency about its exact operating history difficult for the average user.
In terms of market share, Trendo is well known among Persian-speaking users and in some Middle Eastern countries because of its particular focus on this region—including Persian support and Rial and Tether accounts.
However, it should be noted that «a strong presence in a geographic region» does not necessarily mean financial credibility; many offshore brokers target markets such as Iran and the Middle East for marketing reasons, because in these regions access to brokers with top-tier regulation such as FCA, ASIC or CySEC is more difficult due to sanctions and local restrictions.
An overview of Trendo broker's licenses and regulation
According to Trendo's official website, the broker operates in Mauritius under the trade name TRENDING MARKETS (INTERNATIONAL) LTD and is regulated by the Financial Services Commission of Mauritius (FSC) under registration number 227756 and license GB25205094.
In addition, another part of the group's structure, named Trendo Markets LTD, is presented as operating under the International Financial Centre of Saint Lucia (IFC) with registration number 2024-00332.
Besides a regulatory license, another factor that matters when assessing a broker's credibility is the existence of a clearly identifiable and traceable legal entity. According to published information, the broker registered its company in Armenia in 2022 under the name Trendo LLC. The company is registered in Yerevan, Armenia, under registration number 271.110.1214359.
Trendo has stated that, as its operations continued, it updated the company's articles of association in Armenia, and its registered scope of activities now includes services related to forex trading and activities related to buying and selling cryptocurrencies. These changes were made under Decision No. 02 on 10 January 2025 and approved on 20 January of the same year.
However, it should be noted that registering a company in a country is not, on its own, equivalent to being regulated by a financial supervisory authority. Legal registration mainly shows that an entity has a legal identity, a registered address and a defined corporate structure; but oversight of how financial services are provided, compliance with capital standards, reporting requirements and protection of client funds are usually the responsibility of specialized regulatory bodies such as financial services commissions.
Therefore, Trendo LLC's registration in Armenia can be seen as a positive sign of a legal structure and organizational transparency, but assessing the safety of users' funds still requires examining the broker's regulatory licenses, legal terms and protection mechanisms.
Mauritius FSC Regulation
The Financial Services Commission of Mauritius (FSC) is the sole supervisory authority for all non-bank financial service providers and forex brokers in the country; it has been operating since 2001 and carries out its supervision under the Financial Services Act 2007, the Securities Act 2005 and several other legal frameworks.
Compared with stricter bodies such as the FCA or ASIC, this regulator has more lenient entry and supervisory requirements; for this reason, the cost and time of obtaining an FSC license are usually much lower than for top-tier regulators. As mentioned, Trendo claims to operate under the trade name TRENDING MARKETS (INTERNATIONAL) LTD under the supervision of the Financial Services Commission of Mauritius (FSC), which issued the company's official license under license number GB25205094.
A close review of the declared registration details shows that the company's registered office is located in Mauritius, Port Louis, Caudan, Docks complex, Docks Building No. 4, 4th floor, and that this structure is managed through Renark Management Solutions LTD.

An important point to note is that Mauritius FSC and Saint Lucia IFC regulation fall into the category of offshore or Tier 3 regulators; regulators that, in terms of capital requirements, client account segregation, operational oversight and compensation funds, are not comparable to top-tier regulators such as the UK's FCA or Australia's ASIC.
Is Trendo broker legit? A look at its standing and global ranking
Trendo's ratings on reference platforms paint a mixed picture. On Trustpilot, this broker has a score of about 4.5 out of 5 based on 100 to 140 reviews; a figure that at first glance suggests relative user satisfaction, although the number of reviews is small and limited compared to major global brokers.
On the other hand, WikiFX—whose main focus is regulatory status, complaint history and structural risk—has given Trendo a very low score of 1.49 out of 10 and issued an official warning about it.

This striking gap shows that user satisfaction (simple user interface, fast support, a good initial experience) and the assessment of regulatory and structural risk are two completely different areas, and one should not be substituted for the other.
On Google Play, too, the Trendo app is promoted with slogans such as «trusted by over one million users in more than 100 countries»; however, this figure is merely the company's claim and has no independent verification.
Addressing the rumors: Is Trendo broker a scam?
A definitive «yes» or «no» answer to this question is misleading. Based on available reports, there is no official ruling from any credible judicial or regulatory body that has definitively declared Trendo's activity a scam.
But this does not mean there is no risk.
In the Trustpilot user reviews section, there are complaints about delays in or non-receipt of promotional bonuses (such as the $100 no-deposit bonus) and withdrawal problems. Trendo's support team usually responds to these reviews, attributing them to internal bonus rules or identity verification (KYC) processes.
On the other side, WikiFX has explicitly described Trendo as a high-risk broker and issued warnings regarding users who claim to have won trading contests or not received their funds.
Given this, it can be concluded that no sign of overt, organized fraud by Trendo has been observed, but there is sufficient evidence to place it in the category of «high-risk, lightly regulated brokers».
Security on Trendo's Proprietary Platform
Instead of using industry-standard, proven platforms such as MetaTrader 4 and 5, Trendo offers its own two proprietary platforms, «Trendo FX» and «TrendoEx». This choice comes with two different implications:
On the one hand, it allows for a simpler, localized user interface suited to Persian-speaking users; on the other hand, unlike MT4/MT5, which have been under the scrutiny of independent security audits and the global trading community for years, proprietary platforms lack a transparent track record of external review, and users have no choice but to trust the company's claims about the security of its infrastructure.
Negative Balance Protection
Some of Trendo's marketing content claims that user accounts are protected against a negative balance; that is, during extreme market volatility, a user's loss will not exceed the amount of capital deposited.
This feature—if actually implemented—is a positive and common standard among reputable global brokers.
However, since this commitment does not appear in any official regulation document and is mentioned only on promotional pages, users are advised to check the exact terms and any possible exceptions directly in the Client Agreement before taking any action.
Decentralized Security and Instant Settlement on the TrendoEx Platform
The TrendoEx platform is designed around crypto-based trading and allows trading of forex, crypto, stocks, metals and indices based on currencies such as Bitcoin, Tether and Ethereum. The platform claims that deposits and withdrawals are processed instantly and on the blockchain.
The main advantage of this model is the removal of banking intermediaries and the transparency of transactions on the blockchain network; users can track transactions independently.
However, it should be noted that the decentralized nature of deposits and withdrawals does not mean the trading account itself is managed in a decentralized way. Balances and trades are still recorded and settled by the company's internal system.
On the other hand, the irreversibility of blockchain transactions means that in the event of a mistake, dispute or error, there is no way to quickly recover or refund funds, and you should go in aware of this risk.
International Awards of FX Trendo Broker
Trendo has received several industry titles in recent years. According to the company's official announcement, the broker won the «Biggest Innovation in Trading Platforms» award at «Forex Expo Dubai 2024», and in 2025 it also received two titles from International Business Magazine:
- «Best Forex Broker in the MEA Region»
- «Best Multi-Asset Trading Platform in the MEA Region»
In 2026, Trendo was also recognized by International Business Magazine as «Online Trading Platform of the Year in the MEA Region 2026», an award that, according to the organizer, highlights the company's commitment to delivering a high-quality online trading experience across the region.

In addition, Trendo's app promotional materials have added the title «Best Gold CFD Trading Platform» to its list of accolades.
One point to keep in mind when analyzing these achievements is that many awards at events such as Forex Expo Dubai are based on sponsorship, online voting or marketing criteria; therefore, they are not necessarily equivalent to an independent financial or technical audit.
In other words, these awards can be a sign of brand growth, active presence at industry events and efforts to gain visibility, but they should not replace an assessment of regulation, financial transparency or the actual quality of the trading infrastructure.
Safety of Iranian Users' Funds at Trendo Broker
For Iranian traders, a broker's safety isn't just about having regulation or a track record. In practice, what matters more is whether the broker offers hassle-free deposits and withdrawals and whether, if a problem arises, the user can rely on accessible, Persian-speaking support.
In this regard, Trendo has tried to meet the needs of Iranian users by offering a Persian website and app, Persian-language support, and deposits and withdrawals via cryptocurrencies such as Tether; an advantage that many international brokers do not offer due to sanctions-related restrictions.
That said, the other side of the coin should not be overlooked. Most of the financial services offered to Iranian users rely on crypto transfers or informal payment methods; an area that, due to sanctions, falls outside the direct oversight of many reputable international regulators. In other words, if a dispute arises between an Iranian user and the broker, the protective mechanisms of bodies such as the FCA or CySEC are effectively unavailable, and legal action will also face significant limitations.
Under such conditions, the broker's commitment to its obligations, its track record and its reputation among users play a bigger role in maintaining trust. For this reason, whether you plan to work with Trendo or any other offshore broker, a cautious approach is the best choice. It is advisable to start with limited capital, test the withdrawal process with a small amount early on, and only increase your capital after you are confident in the quality of service, settlement speed and support performance. This approach is one of the principles of risk management and can minimize the chance of running into potential problems.
