About Liquidswap Exchange

Liquidswap is a decentralized exchange in the Aptos ecosystem, developed by the Pontem Network team. The platform runs on an automated market maker model, meaning tokens are swapped through liquidity pools without a centralized order book.

Alongside asset swaps, Liquidswap lets users provide liquidity and earn a share of trading fees. Concentrated liquidity pools and a bridge for moving assets to the Aptos network are also part of the platform.

Liquidswap Exchange Credibility, Ranking and Global Standing

Liquidswap is a familiar name in the Aptos ecosystem, with its contracts live on mainnet since October 2022. At the time of writing, the protocol's total value locked on DefiLlama is estimated at around $1.29 million, with a 30-day trading volume of about $371 thousand. Its rank of 231 among DEX protocols by value locked also shows that, despite its clear track record, it is not yet considered a large exchange on a global scale. It should be noted that these figures and the ranking shift as market conditions change.

Has the Liquidswap exchange had any history of hacks or scams?

To date, no documented report of a successful hack of the Liquidswap protocol or proof of fraud has been published. Of course, a hack-free history does not put users' minds at ease forever. In a 2023 audit, OtterSec identified two significant vulnerabilities in the exchange's concentrated liquidity version, both of which, according to the firm's own report, have been fixed.

Range of Cryptocurrencies on Liquidswap Exchange

Liquidswap has a range of pools for swapping tokens in the Aptos ecosystem, from APT and stablecoins such as USDC and USDT to Aptos-based versions of assets like BTC and WETH. But real variety for a trader doesn't depend only on the number of tokens. What matters is that the pair you want has an active pool and enough liquidity.

Newest coins on the Liquidswap exchange

Liquidswap's coin list isn't fixed; as new pools are formed, new tokens can also be added to its market. That said, a pool being new doesn't mean the token is approved or suitable for trading. To see new options, you can compare Liquidswap's pools section with its list of new pairs on DEX Screener.

Liquidswap Exchange Costs: Deposits, Withdrawals and Fees

The Liquidswap crypto exchange has no account for depositing assets and then withdrawing from an exchange balance; the user connects their own wallet and carries out swaps with that same wallet. On this platform, «deposit» usually refers to adding assets to a liquidity pool, and «withdrawal» to removing the user's share from the pool. For every operation recorded on the blockchain, a network transaction fee is paid. The bridge available in the Liquidswap interface also uses LayerZero infrastructure, and the cost of transfers between networks varies depending on the route and transfer settings.

Liquidswap Exchange Trading Fees

Liquidswap works on the basis of liquidity pools and has no centralized order book; for this reason, it has not defined separate maker and taker fees. In regular pools, the default swap fee is 0.3% for regular pairs and 0.04% for stable pairs. These rates can change for each pool. In the V1 version with concentrated liquidity, the fee consists of a base part and a variable part that depends on volatility; so the final rate should be checked for the specific trade. Network fees and the effect of price slippage are also separate from the swap fee.

Suppose that in an uncorrelated or volatile pool, you make a swap worth 100 dollars and that pool's fee is the default rate of 0.3%. The trading fee comes to 30 cents; of these 30 cents, about 20 cents go to liquidity providers and 10 cents to the treasury.

Liquidswap Exchange Services and Features

Token swaps: By connecting a wallet, users can swap tokens for one another through liquidity pools. Whether a trade goes through depends on an available swap route and sufficient liquidity.

Trade routing: When swapping, users can choose between a direct route and an aggregated route, so they can review the quoted output of each route before confirming.

Liquidity provision: By adding assets to trading pools, users earn a share of that pool's swap fees and can withdraw their liquidity.

Concentrated liquidity: In this model, the liquidity provider chooses their desired price range. Earning fees depends on trades taking place within that range.

Farming: Users can deposit assets or pool share tokens into eligible farms and earn rewards. The reward type and withdrawal terms vary from farm to farm.

APT staking: There is a section for depositing APT tokens and earning rewards. The yield rate and terms should be checked on the respective pool's page.

Asset bridge: Through a bridge connected to the platform, Liquidswap allows some assets to be transferred from other networks to Aptos. This bridge relies on LayerZero infrastructure.

Pool creation and token listing: Users can create pools for trading pairs and request that a token be added to the exchange's list. Creating a pool in the concentrated liquidity version requires permission.

Market and pool statistics: Users can review pool information and basic trading data before swapping or providing liquidity.

Flash loans: This feature allows liquidity to be borrowed from a pool and returned, along with a fee, within the same transaction. Its use is mainly technical and suited to developers.

Developer tools: Liquidswap offers an SDK and a swap widget so that other apps and wallets can add token swap functionality to their services.

Liquidswap Exchange Mobile App

You don't need to install an app to use LiquidSwap; the exchange is accessible through its website, and no standalone app has been released for it so far. If you prefer to trade on your phone, you can use Pontem Wallet, the development team's mobile wallet, which has built-in support for swapping on LiquidSwap.
