Rain Exchange Overview and Review
Rain exchange has expanded its operations from the Middle East region. The company began operating in 2019 with a license from the Central Bank of Bahrain, and since 2023, under the corporate name Rain Trading Limited, the exchange has received a license to provide services and hold crypto assets from the «Abu Dhabi Global Market» regulator (ADGM FSRA). Rain also operates in Turkey under that country's full legal framework. Due to international sanctions and FATF rules, this exchange does not provide services to Iran.

Rain Exchange Ranking and Credibility
A look at the track record of the Bahraini exchange Rain shows that it operates mainly in the Middle East and has been licensed by the Central Bank of Bahrain since 2019. In the UAE, the exchange has also received a license from ADGM FSRA for crypto brokerage and custody services, and in Turkey it has obtained the licenses required to operate in that country.
However, in terms of trading volume, Rain exchange does not rank high among the major global exchanges, and in fact it is not currently aiming to. In other words, the exchange focuses mainly on the Middle East market and on operating within the regulatory frameworks of this region.
Rain's Hack and Fraud History
Reviews show that in 2024, Rain exchange was hacked in a cyberattack by North Korean hackers, resulting in the theft of nearly 16 million dollars of the exchange's assets. As a result of this cyberattack, Rain exchange and its app experienced disruptions for a while.
