Has SimpleSwap exchange ever been hacked?

No independent report was found of a hack of SimpleSwap's infrastructure or large-scale theft of user assets. Nevertheless, Cisco Talos documented an attack against users of this service on 8 September 2026. The attackers lured users with a fake bonus into running code in their browser and then replaced the deposit address with their own. This report concerns manipulation of the victim's browser and does not prove a hack of SimpleSwap's servers. Therefore, the more accurate statement is «no confirmed infrastructure hack in the sources reviewed».
