Your privacy on Teagle

When you open an account on Teagle, review a broker, exchange or prop firm, join the newsletter or contact us, some of your information reaches Teagle. This privacy policy explains what information we receive, why we need it, which parts are public, how we protect your privacy and how you can decide about your information.

Teagle is a platform for presenting, reviewing and comparing financial firms, publishing educational and news content and recording users' experiences. Teagle does not provide direct trading or brokerage services and does not receive or hold users' capital or assets. A Teagle account is also not a trading account with a broker, exchange or prop firm.

🛡️ Companion document: This privacy policy is read together with Teagle's terms, conditions of use and disclaimer . On the processing of personal information, the specific provisions of this policy govern Teagle's practice, and mandatory legal rights and duties continue to apply.

1

Key terms of this policy

  1. 1.1. Teagle / we / the Teagle group:

In this document the words «Teagle», «we», or «the Teagle group» refer to the owner of the Teagle platform. To carry out its work and provide its services, the Teagle group may use specialist teams, operating arms and trusted parties under its supervision, all of whom are bound by this policy.

  2. 1.2. Website:

The word «website» refers to all domains registered to and owned by Teagle. This policy applies to the website teagle.ir and to the sections and subdomains managed by Teagle that refer to this document.

  3. 1.3. Personal information:

By «personal information»we mean information that, alone or together with other data, can identify a person, such as contact details, an account ID or records related to that person.

2

What information do we receive?

2.1. Depending on each service on Teagle, we may receive information from you. The types of information we receive include:
Account information:

Any required or optional information you enter in the sign-up, sign-in or account completion forms, such as your name, display name, contact method and sign-in details, as well as a photo or other profile details if you provide them.

Reviews, ratings and interactions:

The text of your reviews, your replies to other users, interactions, ratings, uploaded images, posting dates and what you state about your experience with a financial firm, other information you provide, and your choices in using features such as favourites, and so on.

Messages and requests:

Your name, phone number, email, message text and documents you send through the contact form or official support channels, together with the record of how that request was handled.

Newsletter information:

The email address you register for the newsletter and your subscription or unsubscription status.

Technical and site-usage information:

Depending on the site's technical settings, data such as IP address, access time, browser and device type, pages visited, technical errors and cookie identifiers may be recorded. This information can be created even when you visit without signing in.

2.2. Supplementary documents and information:

If we need supplementary information to check a review or report, we explain when we ask what document is needed, for what purpose and through which channel it should be sent. Signing up or posting a review does not by itself mean permission to receive any identity or financial document.

3

What is your information used for?

3.1. We process information to the extent relevant to the purpose it was received for. The uses of the information we receive include:
  • Creating and managing accounts, signing in and dealing with access problems.
  • Recording and showing reviews, ratings and replies and providing features such as favourites.
  • Answering users' messages, requests and reports.
  • Checking the authenticity of recorded experiences and fighting spam, impersonation, duplicate accounts and rating manipulation.
  • Keeping the site secure, finding errors and improving the services' performance and content.
  • Sending the newsletter or optional messages you have chosen to receive.
  • Meeting legal obligations and handling disputes, to the extent necessary and required.
3.2. Separating what the service needs from your choices:

Some of this processing is needed to provide the service you asked for; parts such as the newsletter depend on your separate choice. Creating an account or visiting the site does not count as consent to share your information with others or to use it in new ways. If the purpose of use changes, we provide the necessary explanation and, wherever needed, obtain separate consent.

4

Which information on Teagle is public, and how is it checked?

  1. 4.1. Publishing reviews and experiences: Reviews, ratings, replies and images you send for publication in the website's review section are visible to others once published. Your display name, profile photo, the country shown next to the review and the posting date may also appear with the content. Information about your trading experience is only public to the extent shown to you in the related form and used for publication.
  2. 4.2. Choosing a name and identifiable content: If you choose your real name as your display name or write identifiable details in your text and images, your identity may become recognisable to others, including the financial firm being reviewed.
  3. 4.3. Sensitive information is not published: Your phone number, sign-in email, account security details, IP and private support correspondence are not part of your public profile, and Teagle does not publish them simply because you posted a review.
  4. 4.4. Search engines and external copies: Public content may appear in search engines such as Google or be copied by others. Removing content from Teagle does not necessarily remove stored copies outside our control at once. This does not stop Teagle from handling your request about the copy it manages.
  5. 4.5. The right not to approve or to remove content: Under clause 4.4 of Teagle's terms, conditions of use and disclaimer, we reserve the right not to approve or to remove your reviews and not to publish them.
  6. 4.6. Checking the authenticity of reviews and private documents: To protect the credibility of reviews, we may check submitted content and data related to account activity as far as necessary, or ask you for explanations and supplementary documents. Documents you send privately to verify an experience are different from images sent for public publication and are not published automatically.
  7. 4.7. Covering sensitive and security information:

Before sending an image of correspondence, a receipt or trading history, cover irrelevant information such as full account numbers, other people's details and unnecessary identity information. Do not send us your trading account password, one-time sign-in codes, private keys or wallet recovery phrases; we don't need them to check a review.

  8. 4.8. Objections by financial firms and protection of data: A financial firm's objection to your review is not, by itself, permission to hand your contact details or private documents to that firm. Identifying a user's violation is also not, in itself, permission to publish a person's private information, unless allowed by law or a competent authority.

Cookies, analytics tools and third-party content

  1. 5.1. What cookies are and what they are for: A cookie is a small file the browser keeps on your device for a site to work. Similar technologies may also be used to keep you signed in, store settings or remember your choices.
  2. 5.2. Essential and analytics cookies: Essential cookies help the site work and stay secure. Visit analytics and advertising tools, where used, serve a different purpose and their details are listed in Teagle's cookie information. Wherever enabling a non-essential tool requires consent, your permission is asked before it is enabled and you can change it.
  3. 5.3. Managing cookies in the browser: You can manage or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may break signing in or some features.
  4. 5.4. Third-party embedded content: If a chart, video or tool embedded from another provider is loaded, technical connection information may be sent to that provider.
6

Who may have access to the information?

6.1. Access to private information is limited to the people and providers who need it to perform a specific task:
The Teagle team:

for support, content management, security and handling requests, in line with each person's responsibility.

Technical service providers:

such as development, hosting, system maintenance or messaging, only as far as needed to provide the service and with appropriate confidentiality and security commitments.

A recipient you approve:

for the purpose and information you have authorised in writing to be shared.

Legally competent authorities:

in response to a legal request or notice and within the information required, after reviewing the request.

6.2. No selling or renting of information:

Teagle does not sell or rent users' private information to brokers, exchanges, prop firms or advertisers. An advertising partnership does not, by itself, create any right to receive a list of users, their contact details or private documents.

6.3. Change of ownership and continuity of service:

If ownership or operation of Teagle's services is transferred and transferring users' information is necessary to continue the service, the transfer and the identity of the new responsible party will be announced. A change of ownership is not, by itself, permission to use information for a purpose incompatible with this policy.

7

External and advertising links

  1. 7.1. Independence of linked websites: Teagle links to financial firms' websites and other sources. Once you enter those websites, the information you give them directly is subject to their own policies. Membership of Teagle does not mean opening an account with a financial firm or permission to transfer your account information to that firm.
  2. 7.2. Referral data in advertising links: Advertising or referral links may, depending on how they work, pass a referral ID or click information to the destination. [The actual types of referral data and advertising measurement tools used on Teagle to be inserted.] Such a link does not mean your phone number, email or private documents are passed on automatically.
8

Newsletter and messages

  1. 8.1. Optional subscription and content sent: Subscribing to the newsletter is optional. The email you register for the newsletter is used to send the content described when you subscribed.
  2. 8.2. Unsubscribing and separate system messages: You can stop the newsletter by contacting support or through other ways Teagle announces. Unsubscribing does not delete your account. Essential messages about account security or replies to your own requests are separate from the newsletter and advertising.
9

Where and how long information is kept

Information is currently kept or processed under hosting in Iran. We do not keep information longer than needed for the stated purposes, unless keeping it for a limited time is necessary to meet a legal obligation or handle a specific dispute. The retention criteria are:

Account information:

as long as needed to provide account services, honouring deletion requests where we approve them and legal exceptions.

Reviews and ratings:

until removed on request, where we approve it, or under Teagle's publication rules.

Private messages and documents:

until the matter is handled and for the period needed to follow it up.

Security and technical records:

for a period suited to the security or technical purpose they were recorded for.

Newsletter information:

until you unsubscribe, with the possibility of keeping the minimum record needed to avoid unwanted re-sending.

Protecting information and security incidents

  1. 10.1. Technical and organisational measures: In line with the type of information and the related risks, Teagle applies the technical and organisational measures needed to limit unauthorised access, misuse, disclosure or loss of information. Access by staff and contractors must match their duties and work needs.
  2. 10.2. Containing and reporting incidents: No internet system is safe from every risk; still, this limit does not reduce Teagle's responsibility to take the necessary protective measures. If an incident affecting personal information is detected, it is investigated and action is taken to contain and reduce its effects. Wherever informing users or the relevant authorities is required, it will be done in line with applicable requirements.
  3. 10.3. Your responsibility for protecting your sign-in details: If you notice a suspicious sign-in or your account details are exposed, report it through Teagle's official contact channel. Do not share your sign-in details or verification codes with others.
