Review of FundedNext Prop Firm Challenges and Plans
null
The FundedNext prop firm, as one of the well-known prop trading companies, has designed various challenges to assess traders' skills and risk management, each with its own rules, conditions, profit targets, loss limits and evaluation stages. These differences in FundedNext's rules and challenges mean that choosing the right plan and challenge has a direct impact on a trader's success in passing the prop firm evaluation. Below, we look at the types of challenges and compare FundedNext's plans along with the rules of each.
Types of Challenges and Comparison of FundedNext Prop Firm Plans
FundedNext offers traders several different challenge models and plans, each with its own structure in terms of profit target, loss limits, timing and passing conditions depending on the type of challenge. FundedNext's challenges are named Stellar, and include Stellar Lite, Stellar 1-Step, Stellar 2-Step and Stellar Instant. The challenge you choose at FundedNext directly affects how you pass it and how you manage risk. Below, we go through each challenge one by one. An important point before we begin: in all challenges, once you complete the evaluation stages and receive a FundedNext account, 80% of the profit you earn belongs to you, which can be raised (Scale-Up) to as much as 95%.
Stellar 1-Step Challenge
The Stellar 1-Step challenge is designed for traders looking for a fast, direct route to profit. In this model there is only one evaluation stage, and the trader must prove their skill in that single stage.
- Profit target: The trader must reach a 10% profit based on the initial account balance.
- Time limit: One of the advantages of this FundedNext challenge is that it has no time limit; that is, you can reach the profit target with your own strategy and over any time frame.
- After passing: As soon as you reach the profit target set by the FundedNext prop firm and meet the minimum trading days, the prop firm automatically reviews your performance and opens access to the verification (KYC) center. Once your documents are approved and your identity is verified, your live account is issued within 24 to 48 hours, and at this stage no profit target is set for the trader anymore.

Stellar 2-Step Challenge
Among FundedNext's plans, the Stellar 2-Step challenge is very popular with professional traders because of its more flexible loss limits. The challenge works as follows:
- Phase 1: The profit target in this phase is 8%. Once you reach this target while following the rules, your account is closed at the end of the trading day and a Phase 2 account is issued.
- Phase 2: In this phase the profit target drops to 5%. If you run into difficulty in Phase 2, you can reset the account, bearing in mind that resetting restarts the whole process from Phase 1.
- Performance reward: Besides the 80% profit share after passing the prop challenge, in this challenge 15% of the profit made during the evaluation stages goes to the trader, which is usually paid out together with the first withdrawal from the live account.
One important point about FundedNext's challenges is that on your first profit withdrawal from the live account, the amount you paid for the FundedNext challenge fee or reset fee is refunded to you.

Stellar Lite Challenge
The FundedNext prop firm's Stellar Lite challenge is known as one of the most flexible models among FundedNext's plans. This model is for traders who prefer to prove their skill in a FundedNext demo account without the pressure of a time limit and with reasonable profit targets.
- Two-step structure: This challenge includes two evaluation phases. The profit target is 8% in the first phase and only 4% in the second.
- No time limit: One of the biggest advantages of FundedNext's Stellar Lite challenge is that there is no deadline for completing the required stages. Whether it takes 1 week or 3 months, the account stays active as long as FundedNext's rules are followed.
- Performance reward: Unlike the other challenges, no profit goes to the trader during the Stellar Lite challenge stages. However, as mentioned earlier, once you pass the stages and receive a FundedNext account, you are eligible for 80% of the trading profits, which can be increased to 95% through the scale-up plan.
It is worth noting that, as with the previous challenges, this challenge can also be reset, and the challenge fee is refunded to you with your third profit withdrawal from the live account.

Stellar Instant Challenge
The Stellar Instant challenge is a solution for traders who want to connect directly to the market without going through lengthy evaluation stages. Unlike FundedNext's other challenges, where the trader is required to pass one or two evaluation phases, in this model a FundedNext account in a simulated real-market environment is given to you immediately after purchase:
- Quick access: After paying the FundedNext challenge fee for the Instant model, your account is activated immediately and you can start trading.
- Performance reward from day one: You are eligible for a performance reward (Profit Share) from your very first trading day and don't need to reach any specific profit target.
- Freedom and flexibility: This plan has no Consistency Rule and no limits on trade volume or number of trades. This makes Stellar Instant one of the most flexible options among FundedNext's challenges.

FundedNext Prop Firm Challenge Rules
FundedNext prop rules differ depending on the account type and challenge model, in details such as the profit target, the daily and overall loss limits, and so on. That is why we review the structure of each challenge separately, to make clear exactly what each challenge expects from the trader and which rules matter most in it. Below, we go through the rules of each challenge one by one:
Stellar 2-Step plan and challenge rules
The Stellar 2-Step challenge rules include the points below and help the trader operate within a professional framework:
1. Loss limits: In this model you have more room to maneuver; the daily loss limit is 5% and the maximum overall loss limit is 10%.
2. Minimum trading days: In both evaluation phases, you must have at least 5 trading days. To complete these days, you can use very small trades (such as 0.01 lot).
3. Trading during news: During the challenge phases, there is no restriction on trading during news. However, once you receive the FundedNext funded account, the news profit split rule applies: within the window of 5 minutes before and after the news, only 40% of trade profits are credited to you, while losses are applied in full.
4. Payout cycle: The first payout is possible 21 days after you start trading on the live account. After that, payout cycles drop to 14 days.
5. Prohibited strategies: Any exploitation of platform delay (Latency Exploitation) or price manipulation is strictly prohibited.
6. Price range: FundedNext plan prices for the 2-step model range from small accounts (such as $6000 for a fee of about $59) up to large $200000 accounts, so that every trader with any budget can take part in this challenge.
By strictly following the FundedNext rules, you can benefit from this platform's advantages and even get your initial fee back as a free FundedNext challenge (via a refund).
Stellar 1-Step plan and challenge rules
To succeed in the FundedNext Stellar 1-Step challenge and keep your account safe, following the standards below is mandatory:
1. Loss management: The daily loss limit is 3% and the maximum overall loss limit is 6%, and the account balance must not fall below 94% of the initial balance.
2. Minimum trading days: You must trade on at least 2 separate calendar days. Even if you reach the 10% target on the first day, you must still open at least one position on the second day to qualify.
3. Permitted tools: Using Expert Advisors (EAs) and custom indicators is allowed, provided their settings match your account parameters.
4. Account security: Using a static IP or a dedicated VPS is recommended to avoid data conflicts and for better security.
5. Copy trading: Copying trades between different accounts of the same trader is allowed, but note that doing so between accounts of different people is strictly prohibited and results in a rule violation.
Stellar Lite challenge rules
To succeed in this model and properly manage a FundedNext prop account, understanding and precisely following the FundedNext rules is essential:
1. Daily and overall loss limit: You are not allowed to lose more than 4% of the account's initial balance in a single day. Also, the total account loss must not exceed 8% of the initial balance; in other words, the account balance must not fall below 92% of the initial balance.
2. Minimum trading days: The trader must be active on at least 5 separate trading days. At least 1 trade must be opened on each day. If the profit target is reached in fewer than 5 days, you can meet this rule by opening very small trades, e.g. 0.01 lot, on the remaining days.
3. Trading during news: During the challenge phases, trading during news is fully allowed and there is no restriction in this regard. However, on the live FundedNext account, the News Profit Split Rule applies. Under this rule, trades opened or closed within 5 minutes before and after major, high-impact news add only 40% of the resulting profit to your balance, while 100% of any losses will be counted.
4. Copy trading: Copying trades in FundedNext challenges is only allowed between accounts belonging to the same person, and copying from other people's accounts is prohibited.
5. Payout cycle: On the live account, the first payout is possible after 21 days. After receiving the first payout, subsequent cycles drop to 14 days. It is worth noting that on a funded account, there is no longer a profit target or a mandatory minimum number of trading days.
6. IP address and VPS: We recommend using a single device and a static IP. Using a VPN or a VPS with a dedicated IP is suggested for account security and stability.
7. Prohibited strategies: Any exploitation of platform delay (Latency Exploitation), manipulation or cheating the system results in a rule violation and possibly the live account not being issued.
Stellar Instant challenge conditions
To succeed in the Stellar Instant challenge, knowing the exact risk management rules is essential. Unlike other models, loss management strategies work differently here:
1. Loss limit: In this model there is no daily loss limit, but there is a kind of trailing loss limit of up to 6%. In other words, this 6% loss limit moves upward as your account profit grows, until it reaches the account's initial balance. For example, on a $10,000 account, if you make $1000 in profit, your final loss limit reaches $10,000 (the initial balance) and stays fixed there.
2. Trading during news: Trading during news is allowed, but as mentioned earlier, only 40% of the profit from trades opened or closed within 5 minutes before and after high-impact news is counted.
3. No refund of the initial fee: The fee for these accounts varies based on the chosen capital size. Note that in this model, unlike the step-based challenges, the initial fee (Refundable Fee) is not refunded to you, because you go straight into a funded account.
Does FundedNext Prop Firm Have a Free Trial Plan?
Yes. The FundedNext prop firm has a section called Free Competition, which is a kind of free FundedNext prop challenge that lets traders take part in this prop firm's competitions for free and compete to win a FundedNext account. Also, although taking part in FundedNext prop challenges requires paying a fee, these amounts are treated as a Refundable Fee; that is, on one of your profit withdrawals (depending on the challenge type), the full price of the FundedNext challenge is returned to your account. So, by proving your skill, access to a FundedNext prop account will effectively come at no final cost to you, much like a free FundedNext challenge.
