In recent years, and especially in recent months, one of the most important challenges Iranian traders in the forex market have faced is maintaining stable access to brokers and trading platforms during the national internet or network disruptions. Constantly having to change IP, slow connections and the risk of losing the connection mid-trade can cause irreparable financial losses. Given the state of the internet at the time of writing, knowing the best broker that works on the national internet and allows uninterrupted activity under any conditions has become essential for survival in the forex market. In this article, we take a close look at ways to trade on the national internet and introduce a list of brokers that remain active.

How to Trade Forex on the National Internet

Trading on the national internet, or trading without having to change IP, mainly comes up when access to the global internet is cut off or severely disrupted. In such conditions, only national-internet forex brokers whose infrastructure is connected via an intermediary server or other means and exchanges data with Iran's domestic network remain accessible.

Technically, these brokers make connection possible by setting up relay servers and dedicated proxies that exchange data with Iran's domestic network. These brokers usually assign dedicated domains (such as rotating unfiltered domains) for the client area and direct numeric IPs for the MetaTrader servers.

To use this feature during network disruptions, traders on platforms such as MetaTrader 5 or MetaTrader 4 should enter the server's direct numeric IP, obtained from the broker's support team, in the server field instead of the broker's server name. This bypasses network resolution (DNS) and minimizes trading ping during disruptions.

Ways to Trade with Brokers on the National Internet

Solutions for Accessing Brokers During National Internet Conditions

When the international network is restricted, professional traders use several backup layers to stay connected. Each of these solutions can help keep a trader's trading stable in a crisis; we cover them below.

Using a VPS (Virtual Private Server)

With this method, the trader uses a VPS inside Iran that is connected to the global internet or configured via tunneling to keep their trading platform abroad always on and connected, so that fluctuations in the domestic and national internet do not affect the portfolio.

Using WebTrader

Another solution is to use the web version of the trading platform. Brokers that offer stable service during national internet conditions host their WebTrader code on rotating, unfiltered domains, so that the browsers of users inside Iran can quickly connect to the platform and manage open trades without intermediary software or IP-changing tools.

Using the Broker's Dedicated Links and IPs

Some brokers suited to the Iranian market (such as Octa Markets) have set up intermediary servers for network disruptions that exchange data with Iran's domestic network. In this case, the broker itself handles the data-tunneling infrastructure and, by providing dedicated connection links for MetaTrader 5 or the client area, makes uninterrupted trading possible.

IP Settings in MetaTrader

One practical technical solution is entering the forex broker server's direct IP address in MetaTrader. This means the software doesn't need to go through global DNS services and connects directly to the destination, which is very effective when the internet goes national.

Is a VPN Safe for Traders?

Although some traders have grown used to using VPNs, a VPN is inherently a high-risk tool for sensitive forex activity. Operationally, for swing and day traders, a sudden VPN drop can mean losing control over trades at critical, volatile moments in the market. Using a VPN may also cause order execution delays, which can be costly in trading styles such as scalping. In addition, some international brokers consider the use of VPNs with changing IPs a violation of their policies, which may lead to account suspension or withdrawal delays. So you should always keep these issues in mind when using a VPN.

Are Brokers That Don't Require a VPN Enough?

Answering this question requires a realistic look at the limitations. Although forex brokers that work on the national internet provide a layer of operational security, trading forex on the domestic internet still faces challenges. For example, during a complete international internet outage, real-time prices may reach the trader with a delay, which complicates Iranian traders' analysis and strategies. Also, using supporting tools such as TradingView or reliable economic calendars is usually not easy on the national internet. So even though the connection to the broker is established, the trader may be cut off from fundamental market data.
